Jun 24 I'm still here, but my interest in political events (both here in the UK & internationally) are keeping me away from model making. As a result, I've made virtually no progress on the Skyway diorama since returning from my holiday.
Vollmer Weather Station Update: Much to my surprise, this model does actually appear to function. Almost within days of finishing the model I noticed that the two figures (mounted on the bar that's suspended by a thread) started to change positions. Since then, the figures move almost daily. I'll have to try and make a time-lapse video showing this.
Jun 8 There haven't been any site updates for several weeks because I've been away on vacation. Each year in late Spring, apart from visiting the usual theme parks in Orlando, I try to visit several parks in other parts of the USA. This year it was Texas' turn. Amongst other tourist attractions, I visited Six Flags Over Texas, Six Flags Fiesta Texas & Sea World San Antonio. Of the two Six Flags parks, I think I preferred Over Texas - mainly for the greater overall variety of rides. I have to say though that I was bitterly disappointed with Sea World San Antonio and have to agree with many of the negative reviews posted on TripAdvisor.
I haven't quite decided which State to visit next year, but at the moment it's a toss up between California and Pennsylvania.
Over the next few days I'll dust off my Skyway diorama and attempt to complete it.
